Smith Mountain Lake is located between the cities of Lynchburg and Roanoke, Virginia. These cities are connected by Route 460. You access Route 122 south of the town of Bedford or north of the Town of Rocky Mount to reach Smith Mountain Lake. This area can easily be reached via Interstate 85 in North Carolina, or Interstate 81 in Virginia.

Once you have reached Route 122 in Moneta, take State Road 655 West 3.5 miles to State Road 750. Take an extreme left turn onto #750 and take it 2.5 miles to the entrance of Coveside Cottages.
